There are wild donkeys roaming around this site. Everywhere. Cute you might say but of course they are only after one thing. Sooty’s cooking. Well – it’s got to appeal to some sentient being on earth, somewhere.

never pass a pisser, never trust a fart, never waste a stiffy.
I tentative venture into the Pyrenees West to East to West. Offroad as much as possible. Following ACT and some TET tracks depending on weather and what happens! This is going to be much different to usual trips. Lighter bikes, less stuff and higher up in places we’ve never been! Wicked.

They were trying to charge is €48 to stay in this hideous campsite. The pitches were sh1te to say the least. Next to us was a hobo. So I duly asked for a refund and we left. The lady (not French or Spanish) was rude to say the least. Thrust the refund ticket at me then said “Bye” while waving her hand at me to say “get orrrf moi laaaand”. Cow. Location noted never to go there again.
The place was like a building site. Because we were bikers, they just don’t think we matter. Whereas the French and Spanish generally were so welcoming.

Wow – that suspension is super soft. A trait of the bike I’m afraid. So off to a bike shop to have it adjusted. Made it better but even taller. Not quite ideal so more thinking (and spend no doubt) required.

There were quite a few of these hanging off the wall in this campsite cafe. I had a roast pork baguette for tea!

So, I’m in my tent in the morning when I wake up. There’s a mosquito (or something like that) flying about. So I swat it and I get smears of blood on my hand. I then realise – it’s MY BLOOD! Give it back.
