So we were ALSO on the way back from the little drinkie – and we saw the TINIEST little kitten – 15 days old – the lovely lady we talked to (and was holding her) had found her in a bag and has now adopted her and named her Jade – awwww ❤️ Xxx
Free Poo Bags !!!
So we were on the way BACK from us little drinkie and came upon – how civilised – a FREE Poo Bag station !!!

A Little Drinkie
- So after paying the bill and buying the round towel (!) we had a little walk and had a couple of drinkies overlooking the boats (thinking of you Paulie !!!) xxx

At Last We Know What It Is !!!
So we were on holiday LAST year in Corsica and then again THIS year and we KEEP seeing these (what looked like) triangular/cone-shaped towels for sale. Being northern I thought they tea cosies (but the foreigners are crap and don’t drink tea so I thought this was why there was no holes for the handle and spout !!! 😂)
ANYWAY we were in Reception today paying the bill and I asked what they were for and they are circular towels (with a hook in the centre to hang them up) so we got one for the downstairs loo in The Van (not sure where the upstairs loo is !!!)
They clearly also double-up as a sun hat if you’re feeling unsociable !!!

Humbug Car
Well stayed on site today – lay-in, light breky then a swim in the pool followed by a shower. Got ready, dried my hair and re-did my toes all at leisure – bliss !!!
Nice lunch at The Van, had a sunbathe and a snooze then went to pay the bill here (as moving on tomorrow) and outside reception there was a cute car – which Dave made me stand by and have a piccie – looks like a humbug sweetie to me !!!
Arvor Festival
So came back after the beach and had BBQ salmon, chicken AND sausages (I know, I know…) followed by an apple doughnut (which I didn’t want to buy but Dave insisted and it wasn’t even very nice !!!) – then trundled back out on The Duke to town about 8:30pm for the festivities…
Firstly saw a street artist juggling and playing with fire 🔥 – then wandered on up to Le Jardin des Remparts where there was a show going on with everyone dressed up in Breton costume and doing dancing to bagpipe music !!!
We then joined the crowds lining the streets for the parade – which was basically more of the same but up close. The music had a medieval / Celtic feel – and I found myself clapping along !!!
Dave took videos but they are too big to import into here so (because he’s clever !!!) he has uploaded them to You Tube. The first one is only short and gives you a flavour of the music and the second one shows the dancing 💃 more…
THEN Bob and Betty next door at the campsite who told us about the festival (don’t know their real names) SAID that the fireworks 💥 were at midnight and it was about 11:15pm and we’d had enough so came back. THEN we arrived back on the drive about 11:25pm and the bleeding fireworks started – for about 15 minutes… Couldn’t see them – only hear them – bet they were good… 😔
Well that’s Bob and Betty off OUR Christmas 🎄 List 😂 Xxx
At The Beach 🌊
Well after another late start (stayed up listening to the band the night before and even had a little dance – all outside The Van !!!) and breky under the canopy – we set off on The Duke.
About 40 (breezy) minutes later, arrived at Arzon. Had a walk on the beach and a little sunbathe – lots of sailing ⛵️ stuff going on for Dave to watch – see below…

The Mozzies !!!
So Dave got fed upon on Saturday night by the mozzies (he says that because he’s on Warfarin that he’s easier to suck from !!!) ANYWAY – he said we should get some citronella garden candles from the supermarket but they didn’t have any – do he bought vanilla tea lights (against my advice – I hate vanilla) then said they needed to “smoke” and that would keep the mozzies away – so to make them “smoke” – he had poured cooking oil and dried mixed herbs !!! (See below).
Hasn’t worked – has been bitten again… xxx
More Photos of Jardin des Remparts
- Dave wants more photos of Jardin des Remparts – so here you go… (I like putting piccies with people on too – to prove you’ve been there !!!). To be fair – it WAS lovely…

Jardin des Remparts
It was hazy but hot today and we had a lie-in then late breky outside before a quick blast to town in The Duke then a little walk around the pretty gardens, the shops followed by a fab raspberry & custard tartlet ! Back at The Van now having crisps, dips & a Desparado – then BBQ 🍗 chicken for tea !!! (Will be 44 stone on my return)
Also The Arvor Festival is on for the next couple of days (want to see the fireworks in town tomorrow night – and everyone dresses up like The Handmaid’s Tale (!) and does dancing – maybe that’s why we’ve have just heard a band practicing on site here – so we may wander up to the Club House later – but we can hear them from here anyway !!!
