So came back after the beach and had BBQ salmon, chicken AND sausages (I know, I know…) followed by an apple doughnut (which I didn’t want to buy but Dave insisted and it wasn’t even very nice !!!) – then trundled back out on The Duke to town about 8:30pm for the festivities…
Firstly saw a street artist juggling and playing with fire 🔥 – then wandered on up to Le Jardin des Remparts where there was a show going on with everyone dressed up in Breton costume and doing dancing to bagpipe music !!!
We then joined the crowds lining the streets for the parade – which was basically more of the same but up close. The music had a medieval / Celtic feel – and I found myself clapping along !!!
Dave took videos but they are too big to import into here so (because he’s clever !!!) he has uploaded them to You Tube. The first one is only short and gives you a flavour of the music and the second one shows the dancing 💃 more…
THEN Bob and Betty next door at the campsite who told us about the festival (don’t know their real names) SAID that the fireworks 💥 were at midnight and it was about 11:15pm and we’d had enough so came back. THEN we arrived back on the drive about 11:25pm and the bleeding fireworks started – for about 15 minutes… Couldn’t see them – only hear them – bet they were good… 😔
Well that’s Bob and Betty off OUR Christmas 🎄 List 😂 Xxx
