never pass a pisser, never trust a fart, never waste a stiffy.
Looks like we won’t make it to Croatia after all. The weather is against us and Sooty needs to get back I think. Ah well, best laid plans.
Found a nice 4 star site to stay next to the Lake. La Source. There is a site next door with some idiot brits in their Moho playing music until very late. So didn’t get to sleep until 3am. My air bed ribs popped (although mostly still usable) and worst of all I poured water into my cup this morning and my coffee leaked out the bottom. New cup required too. To top it all, looks like I have a slow puncture. Although I did manage to fix the oil leak a couple of days ago! Bonus.
They grow loads of lavender here. Fields and fields of it.
I actually asked someone to take a photo of us. Helen would be proud.
This place is basic but they have their own beer. Clearly is really a brilliant place!
So the weather seemed to be against us for a run through Switzerland. It was going to be Wet Wet Wet. Also without a lead singer! We could have headed for the mountains but we would see no views. Even with breaks in the rain.
We deliberated after studying the weather maps and decided to head south. We took the Peage too. I know, sacrilege. But we got down to Nyons and now the bad weather is above us. Planning on heading east behind the weather.
So nearby to Nyons now. Nice town and plumbed for a quiet little site next to the river. Idyllic.
